Cultural exchange, right here in Santa Cruz
At Flex Kids Culture, we are dedicated to creating cultural exchange while fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese and Chinese American culture in the Monterey Bay — specifically right here in Santa Cruz! Your support helps us bring celebrations to the community, preserve and share our local history, create educational opportunities for young people, and bring communities together through cultural connections, reciprocity, and exchange.
Where your money goes
Your generous donation directly supports our mission. Funds help us provide educational programs for children and families, host cultural and community events, preserve and share local Chinese and Asian American history, and create educational materials that promote cultural understanding, language learning, and heritage preservation.
Your support also allows us to keep these programs accessible to the community, maintain our educational resources, and strengthen connections among children, families, schools, and the wider Monterey Bay community. Every contribution helps us keep these stories, people, and traditions alive for future generations.
Classes and workshops for children and families — history, Mandarin, robotics, writing, art, and music.
Festivals, community walks, history talks, and film screenings for the whole family.

Volunteer, partner, or share a story
Volunteer. Our festivals, walks, and workshops run on community help — greeting families, running activity tables, setting up, and photographing events. Students are welcome; our papercutting and calligraphy workshops are led by student instructors.
Partner with us. Schools, libraries, museums, and community organizations: we'd love to co-host a program or bring one to you.
Share a family story. If your family has roots in the Chinese communities of the Monterey Bay, your photographs and memories can help us keep this history alive.
