Santa Cruz Dragon

The Board: Guardians of Our Story

The story of Asian and Chinese pioneers in Santa Cruz and the greater Bay Area is rich, inspiring, and too often overlooked. From building industries and shaping communities to contributing deeply to the region’s culture and economy, generations of Asian Americans have left a legacy that deserves to be remembered and shared.

Our organization was founded to reconnect these stories with the world—educating communities, celebrating contributions past and present, and building bridges of understanding across cultures. By honoring this history, we also aim to support today’s Asian voices and strengthen the recognition of their vital role in shaping the future.

Our Board

Our board brings together educators, historians, artists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who share a commitment to this mission. Together, they guide our efforts to preserve the past, connect communities, and inspire new conversations about belonging and contribution.
