We aim to educate, inspire, and celebrate the history, struggles, resilience, and achievements of the Chinese immigrant community who established roots in Santa Cruz County. By sharing authentic stories, family experiences, photographs, artifacts, articles, and oral histories, we provide a meaningful space for cultural appreciation and deeper community understanding.

GOALS OF THE PROJECT

Host Community Exhibitions: Organize public exhibitions and interactive displays across Santa Cruz County that highlight the journey, lives, and contributions of early Chinese immigrants to the region.

Connect Generations: Create opportunities for inter-generational dialogues, enabling younger generations to connect with elders, share family histories, and preserve cultural narratives and traditions.

Build Community Awareness: Engage diverse communities within Santa Cruz County to foster appreciation, mutual understanding, and respect through shared experiences, conversations, and educational resources.

Promote Cultural Pride: Showcase thoughtfully curated exhibitions and cultural events that empower observers with knowledge and inspire pride in the Chinese immigrant heritage—an integral and vibrant thread within the broader American tapestry.
